A quick start guide for Policy Makers
1rst Policy brief
Contains an overview of the mappings conducted during the first 12 months of the project, as well as the exploration of public attitudes toward organoids conducted within the project’s engagement activities. In addition it contains corresponding recommendations for policy makers and other stakeholders involved in the regulation of emerging technologies. Emphasis has been put on the language and its use in science and beyond, and for this reason a socially robust typology of the main concepts used in organoid research has been developed. The typology has the ambition to provide a common language for all stakeholders related to this type of research.
2nd Policy brief
This policy brief contains a policymaking oriented overview of the project's main outputs (the Operational Guidelines and supporting documents, the Code of Responsible Conduct for researchers, a suggested supplement to the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity-ECoC, suggestions for the enhancement of ethics and normative frameworks relevant to organoid research) with corresponding recommendations. It, also, offers a presentation of HYBRIDA's responses to the three types of uncertainty initially set at the beginning of the project.
